BLAZE Announce New Bassist
April 11, 2003BLAZE, the British band led by former IRON MAIDEN frontman Blaze Bayley, have enlisted Wayne Banks (SABBAT, GODSEND, THE NEWCRANES) as a replacement for departed bassist Rob Naylor, who quit the group last month following their appearance at New Jersey's March Metal Meltdown V festival. Banks, who will be taking over the bass-playing duties on BLAZE's forthcoming U.K. tour and subsequent festivals, has recorded a number of albums during his 12-year career and has recently toured with MESSIAHS KISS on their 2002 European support tour with DORO.
As previously reported, Rob Naylor is in the process of forming his own project and is currently seeking a ballsy singer with a good range and attitude in spades for a "heavy-as-fuck" band. Applicants should send tapes/CDs/biographies to:
